For our first 'Beautiful Spaces' post, we are really excited to share this incredible apartment in Stockholm, we discovered on Entrance. I love seeing how other people create a home and what pieces they choose as the finishing touches. This is a great example where using a limited colour palette and simplistic furniture can really make a small space seem a lot bigger. With an open-plan layout, crisp, white walls, and enviable furnishings, it's easy to fall in love with this home.
Dark accents contrast with its simplistic decor, whilst the rustic features and striking, brick wall help to maintain the character of the original property. Keeping the wooden floors a light, washed shade and using dark rugs, helps to keep the space bright, whilst also adding warmth.
I love the combination of sleek, contemporary pieces, mixed with more traditional objects and furnishings - the antique lamp compliments the velvet chairs and colour palette delicately.
The midnight black is followed through into the bedroom. By keeping the window white and including light furniture, the room remains fresh and cosy - it isn't anything but inviting.
Intelligent storage solutions and use of space, help to keep this flat from feeling over-crowded or cluttered. The half-height wall divider in the living area is a great addition, to allow separation from the main room, yet not limiting the light or space.
I don't know about you, but I'm now off to find the ultimate shade of charcoal linen, paint, rugs, tableware and everything in between...
