Breakfast is my favourite meal of the day. During the working week, it can get a little hectic and stressful when trying to juggle an endless list of tasks, whilst still remembering to eat, therefore I always like to take the time to enjoy the first meal of the day at the weekend. It helps you feel refreshed after a busy week and allows you to step back and appreciate the simpler things in life.
In our house, a relaxed Sunday morning usually consists of freshly baked pastries, magazines and newspapers covering the table and an endless supply of coffee. There will always be coffee. Making that little bit of effort goes a long way. It doesn't need to be fancy or too considered - a few simple touches can turn a fairly routine moment, into something pretty special.
This month, I've teamed up with the wonderful Mleko Living to share their latest collection 'Gradient', in the hope it gives you a little boost of inspiration for creating the perfectly relaxed breakfast table.

With an architectural background, Katarzyna and Michal Zaluski create natural and organic objects. Their interest in daily rituals and aesthetics of our surroundings, is clearly apparent through their choice of materials and structure.
